10 Best Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’ – in the name of all things caffeinated, what are the best vegan drinks at Dunkin’ Donuts? In my previous post I have already covered (1) how to order vegan drinks at Dunkin’ (see Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’ Donuts – How To Actually Order Vegan); and (2) a complete breakdown of the Dunkin’ Donuts 2021 Seasonal Holiday Drinks (some are vegan – see my post: Vegan Holiday Drinks at Dunkin’ 2021 – What To Know). In this post, I am going to break down my personal top 10 suggestions for vegan drinks at Dunkin’. Think of it as a simple go-to list you can use when ordering from America’s second-largest coffee chain. One that boasts over 25,000 different ways to order their coffee – it’s okay 10 will do for now (keep things simple).
As a general rule, the best vegan drinks at Dunkin’s include frozen coffees, strawberry coolattas, frozen matcha lattes, refreshers, chai tea lattes, iced macchiatos, and iced cappuccinos. Vegan sugar-free drinks can even be ordered at Dunkin’ by ordering drinks with a sugar-free flavor shot and oat or coconut milk.
Recap – How to Order Vegan at Dunkin’
Let’s begin with a quick recap on how to order vegan at Dunkin’. If you want a full breakdown of every beverage item on the Dunkin’ menu then I recommend checking out my post: Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’ Donuts – How To Actually Order Vegan).
In a sip (see what I did there), there are several Dunkin’ drinks that can be made vegan with the substitution of dairy milk for coconut, oat, or almond. If you love flavored coffee all the flavor shots are vegan as is the mocha sauce. The other sauces are not vegan. This is the same at Starbucks as well – (see my post How To Actually Order Vegan Starbucks Drinks and 20 of the All-Time Best Vegan Drinks at Starbucks).
10 Best Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’
The below table summarizes a breakdown of all the vegan drinks you need to know about at Dunkin’. The Table is made of up the following 10 best vegan Dunkin’ drinks.
- Vegan as-is: if you are the kind of person who hates having to pay extra for vegan milk or doesn’t like to order off-menu then these drinks are for you.
- Sweet drinks as well as no sugar drinks (in case you do not consume sugar due to bone char concerns or just watching your sugar intake); and
- Some cold drinks and some hot drinks – depending on what time of year you read this.
I will go through each item in the table separately afterward.

Table Breakdown – Best Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’
In this section, I will go through each item in the table. I have marked each item as the following, so you can easily pick up the drinks that are for you:
*No substitutions needed*
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
*Hold the whipped cream*
*Add [relevant item]*
Before I get into the list – a few disclaimers.
- As is the case with all non-exclusively vegan restaurants/chains there is always the possibility of cross-contamination.
- Some of the drinks below contain sugar. The sugar situation at Dunkin’ is not clear (i.e. it is not clear if bone char has been used to process the sugar or not). Some vegans are comfortable consuming sugar others are not (unless it is marked as organic, raw, or beet as it will not then have been processed with bone char). If you are a non-sugar consuming vegan stick to the drinks in the “vegan sugar-free” column above.
The good news is that all of Dunkin’s flavor shots are sugar-free. The flavor shots come in vanilla, hazelnut, toasted almond, coconut, blueberry, and raspberry. The oat milk and coconut milk at Dunkin’ are also sugar-free (in comparison to almond milk which does contain sugar).
So, for example, a hazelnut coconut milk latte is sugar-free – perfect if you are a non-sugar eating vegan.
I also have not included seasonal drinks in the below list. If you are interested in whether the holiday drinks at Dunkin’ are vegan, you can read about it here – Vegan Holiday Drinks at Dunkin’ 2021 – What To Know. If you are a peppermint mocha fan you are in luck.
Finally, how about if you can’t get to a Dunkin in person but still fancy a vegan Dunkin coffee at home? You are in luck – you can make Dunkin cold brew at home using these Dunkin cold brew packs from Amazon here. If hot vegan Dunkin coffee is your thing then check out Dunkin’s original medium roast ground coffee on Amazon here. 10 Best Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’ – Item By Item
1. Chai Tea Latte
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
What if I told you that Chai Tea Lattes are not vegan everywhere you go – would you believe me? Well, it is true. This includes the Chai Tea Latte at Starbucks. This is because some coffee stores’ chai base has honey in it. However, Dunkin’s Chai Tea Lattes are vegan. This gives this drink the prime top spot. Lap up that cinnamon, cardamon, and nutmeg vibes.
Warning – don’t confuse the Chai Tea Latte with the Vanilla Spice on the menu at Dunkin’ which cannot be ordered vegan.
2. Frozen Coffee – Mocha Swirl Flavor
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
*Hold the whipped cream*
Smooth, sweet, and creamy. Seeing as how the frozen chocolate and hot chocolates at Dunkin’ cannot be made vegan, the mocha swirl frozen coffee is the best way of getting that indulgent chocolatey coffee hit.
3. Strawberry Coolatta
*No substitutions needed*
Fruity and refreshing. Perfect for when you fancy a refreshing caffeine-free drink. Just make sure to steer clear of the vanilla bean Coolatta as this one contains dairy.
4. Iced Cappuccino
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
Frothy bold deliciousness. I also think that it is quite unusual to find iced cappuccinos on the menu. They are almost always just on the menu as a hot drink.
5. Peach Passion Fruit Refresher
*No substitutions needed*
Contains B vitamins and green tea – so this is a great drink if you fancy a refreshing drink you can feel great about drinking. My personal favorite is the peach passion but it’s a close call with the strawberry dragon fruit.
6. Hazelnut Latte
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
*Add hazelnut flavor shot*
You can’t go wrong with a vegan hazelnut latte. My go-to milk is oat milk but almond milk will also work well if you want all the nutty vibes.
7. Toasted Almond Iced Coffee
*Add toasted almond flavor shot*
A cool nutty caffeine hit! Dunkin’s iced coffee is 100% Arabica beans. If you fancy a bit of creaminess, ask for a splash of plant-based milk.
8. Frozen Matcha Latte
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
Oat milk matcha lattes are my go-to drink midafternoon. It’s that perfect pick me up without being a jitter-inducing caffeine hit. I love the fact this comes as a frappe-style fancy drink yum.
9. Unsweetened Iced Green Tea
*No substitutions needed*
Iced black tea is so common to order anywhere – I love the fact Dunkin’ also has an iced green tea option – which you can either order sweetened or unsweetened.
10. Iced Macchiato
*Substitute dairy milk for plant-based milk*
Fancy a layered drink that packs a punch in the caffeine department? Then Dunkin’s iced macchiato is for you. Made up of creamy milk and two shots of espresso served over ice.
10 Best Vegan Drinks at Dunkin’ – The Final Sip
Is it possible to have a vegan drink at Dunkin’? Yes. In fact, the above list includes some easy and quick-fire drinks you can order with minimal or no substitutions. Yes, okay. Dunkin’ may boast about offering over 25,000 different coffee drink combinations from their menu, but who needs 25,000 when you can have a decent list of 10 completely vegan drinks? Heck, I would be happy with one completely vegan drink at a coffee chain … okay, perhaps that was like 10 years ago – today I expect much more. That said, the above offers you a solid selection of cold, hot, and Frappuccino-style drinks. My personal go-to? Oat Milk Hazelnut Latte – I just love the chocolate nutty taste of Hazelnuts and coffee – they are just meant to be together.
…now you know.
Beverage makers may change ingredients and/or manufacturing processes. Always double-check ingredients before purchasing any beverages.
