18 Vegan Options at Waba Grill – Item by Item
In this section, I will go through the 18 best vegan options I listed in the above table item by item. Where relevant I will add any specific vegan ordering instructions.
1. Plantspired Steak Veggie Bowl
First up on the list is the Plantspired steak veggie bowl. That’s right you can have some vegan “steak” at Waba Grill. This bowl comes with marinated plant-based steak slices fire-grilled-to-order on top of a bowl of rice and veggies. You can choose between white rice, rice, half-half, or even just veggies and no rice.
You can also choose from the following vegan sauces:
- Waba sauce
- Garlic serrano sauce
- Spicy Waba sauce
- Sweet chili sauce
You can even opt to have no added sauces to your bowl or ask your server to “go easy on the sauce” if you want less of it.
2. Tofu Veggie Bowl
Next up – the tofu veggie bowl (because it wouldn’t be a vegan list without some Tofu). This bowl is basically like the above Plantspired steak bowl but with grilled organic tofu hand-basted in sauce instead.
3. Veggie Bowl
The veggie bowl consists of a bowl of rice (white, brown, or half-half) topped with fresh carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. If you enjoy a super simple vegan bowl this may be the Waba Grill order for you. You still get to choose your sauce like with the two-above bowls. As a reminder here are the vegan sauce options:
- Waba sauce
- Garlic serrano sauce
- Spicy Waba sauce
- Sweet chili sauce
4. Plantspired Steak Bowl
The Plantspired steak bowl is basically like the Plantspired Steak Veggie Bowl (at entry no 1) above but minus the veggies. This makes this bowl consist of marinated plant-based steak slices fire-grilled-to-order, on top of a bed of rice (brown, white, or half-half).
You also get to choose your vegan sauce (Waba sauce, garlic serrano sauce, spicy Waba sauce, or sweet chili sauce).
5. Tofu Bowl
The tofu bowl consists of grilled organic tofu hand-basted in sauce. Like with all the above options you get to choose your rice and sauce (Waba sauce, garlic serrano sauce, spicy Waba sauce, or sweet chili sauce).
6. Plantspired Steak Plate
The next vegan Waba Grill entree on this list is the Plantspired steak plate. So, what exactly is a plate at Waba Grill? The plate at Waba consists of 45% more plant-based protein and is served on a bed of steamed rice with a fresh leafy side salad and fruit. You can substitute the rice for mixed veggies at an additional cost.
7. Tofu Plate
Like the Plantspired steak plate, this tofu plate consists of lots of grilled organic tofu hand-basted in sauce, on a bed of rice with a fresh leafy salad and fruit. Like with all the other options you get to choose your rice and sauce (Waba sauce, garlic serrano sauce, spicy Waba sauce, or sweet chilli sauce).
8. Asian Plantspired Steak Salad
If you prefer your vegan protein in a salad, then Waba Grill also has you covered. The Asian Plantspired steak salad consists of an Arcadian blend salad topped with Cucumber & Edamame Kimchi, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cilantro, and grilled Plantspired steak.
This salad is served with Spicy Sesame Dressing and wonton strips on the side
9. Asian Tofu Salad
The Asian Tofu Salad consists of the same salad as above but just with organic grilled tofu.
Just note that the signature house salad is listed as containing milk and egg on Waba Grill’s allergen statement so stick with the Asian salad.
10. Loaded Miso Soup with Tofu
If you are looking for a vegan soup for a side at Waba Grill, then they have you covered. The loaded miso soup with tofu at Waba Grill is vegan.

If you want a refreshing pick-me-up with your vegan meal at Waba Grill, then it’s great to know that they have bottled Pure Leaf Tea. I personally recommend the unsweetened version.
17. Bubly
If you want lightly flavored sparkling water whilst at Waba Grill, then it’s good to know that they have Bubly. And yes, Bubly is vegan (it is water after all).

18 Vegan Options at Waba Grill – The Final Sip
Vegan options at Waba Grill. How vegan-friendly is Waba Grill? Well, I have to say Waba is probably one of the more vegan-friendly restaurants. Despite having your typical “tofu” vegan options, the thing that makes Waba Grill stand out is its plant-based vegan “steak”. Something which (at the time of writing) you really don’t find in many other places. Sorry, tofu but I may just have to cheat on you this one time.

…now you know.
