Is There A Vegan Greek Yogurt?
Technically vegan Greek yogurts cannot exist. This is because for Greek Yogurt to be called “Greek Yogurt” it has to be made from dairy. However, there are a few vegan “Greek-style” vegan yogurts available. I list 4 of these below.
The Best 4 Vegan Greek-Style Yogurts Available
1. Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Greek Style Yogurt
First up, is this Greek style yogurt from Kite Hill which is made from an almond and soy blend. This Greek style yogurt is plain and unsweetened and so contains 0g of sugar. It also contains a whopping 17g of protein per serving. Greek yogurts are known for being very high in protein, so this Greek-style yogurt really matches up in the protein department.
You can try this yogurt from Amazon here.
2. Kite Hill Vanilla Unsweetened Greek Style Yogurt
Do you like the sound of the above zero sugar vegan Greek-style yogurt but want yours with a little flavor to it? If so, check out Kite Hill’s vanilla unsweetened Greek style yogurt on Amazon here. Even though this yogurt is flavored with vanilla it still contains no sugar. This flavor is also high in protein at 15g of protein per serving.
This yogurt is also kosher, gluten-free, and contains live cultures.
3. Silk Strawberry Greek Style Coconutmilk Yogurt
The other main vegan “Greek style” yogurt on the market comes from Silk. Like dairy Greek Yogurt Silk’s Greek-style vegan yogurts are high in protein – there are 10g of plant-based protein per serving, but completely vegan.
You can try the strawberry flavor of Silks Greek-style yogurt on Instacart here.
4. Silk Vanilla Greek Style Coconut Yogurt
Silk also makes a vanilla version of their Greek-style coconut milk yogurts, which you can find at Ralphs here.
*My Personal Favorite*
It’s got to be the Silk Strawberry Greek style yogurt – I’m a sucker for anything strawberry flavored*
Does Chobani Make Vegan Greek Yogurt? – The Final Bite
Does Chobani make vegan Greek Yogurt? When I started writing this post, I must admit I got a little disappointed. Chobani doesn’t make any vegan Greek-Style Yogurts. In fact, it looks like Chobani no longer even makes any dairy free or vegan yogurts anymore (sad face). However, the good news is that there are many brands of vegan “Greek-Style Yogurts” available. Also, as I learned Chobani do make other vegan-friendly products such as vegan coffee creamers and oat milks – both of which I perhaps would not have learned about if they didn’t stop doing vegan yogurts. So, silver lining…I guess.
…now you know.
