The best vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme. In this post, I am going to be sharing the best vegan drinks to have at Krispy Kreme. Yes, they may sell doughnuts, but they also offer a variety of coffees and drinks. That is why today Krispy Kreme is going to get the Vegan Bev HQ treatment as we find out exactly what are the best vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme. I will also answer some frequently asked questions when it comes to vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme (including whether their donuts are vegan?).
What are the Best Vegan Drinks at Krispy Kreme?
The best vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme are the brewed coffees, iced coffee, lemonade chiller, and strawberry chiller. Krispy Kreme does not have vegan milk available, but they do have a dairy-free vanilla syrup and chocolate sauce which you can add to your coffee.
Frequently Ask Questions – Vegan Drinks at Krispy Kreme
Before we dig into this list of the best vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme, I want to answer that burning question I know you have…
Are Krispy Kreme Donuts Vegan 2022?
Krispy Kreme still does not have any vegan donuts as of 2022. All the donuts at Krispy Kreme are not vegan.
Now I have got that out of the way, let’s get into the vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme. This leads me to ask the question:
Does Krispy Kreme Have Non-Dairy Milk for Coffee?
Krispy Kreme does not have any dairy-free milk available.
Fear not though. I know this all sounds like bad news but there are some vegan drinks and coffees you can order at Krispy Kreme.
Some Disclaimers
Before we dig into the list – a few disclaimers.
None of the below drinks have milk listed as an ingredient. However, some of the drinks contain natural flavors as well as sugar.
Sugar
When sugar and natural flavors are listed on an ingredient list, there is always the chance they are not vegan. Natural flavors are an umbrella term that could include non-vegan flavors. However, if these natural flavors include dairy, then this should be included in the allergen statement.
Cane sugar here in the US is sometimes processed with bone char (essentially charred animal bones). No bone char is left in the sugar, but it is processed with the char. If sugar is not listed as raw or organic, then you simply don’t know if it has been processed with bone char or not.
Some vegans are fine with consuming sugar and natural flavors (as they don’t know that they are not vegan – there is just a chance they are not).
Some stricter vegans are not comfortable with this. If you fall into the latter category, then stick to the brewed and iced coffees (i.e., avoid the chillers and vanilla syrup and chocolate sauce).
Cross-Contamination
Secondly, as is always the case at all non-exclusively vegan restaurants there is always the chance of cross-contamination. I’ll leave this to you as to whether this is something you are comfortable with.
What About Other Donut Chains?
What about the drink options at other Donut chains like Dunkin’? If you want to know the best vegan drink options at other donut chains then check out some of my other posts below:

The Best Vegan Drinks at Krispy Kreme
1. Classic Brewed Coffee
First on this list is a classic black brewed coffee. The classic brewed at Krispy Kreme is bright and smooth – perfect for when you just need a strong caffeine hit.
2. Bold 1937 Brewed Coffee
If a rich and robust coffee sounds like your kind of coffee, then grab a cup of Krispy Kreme full-bodied 1937 brewed coffee. Obviously don’t add milk to ensure it is vegan.
3. Classic Decaf Brewed Coffee
If you somehow ended up in Krispy Kreme and fancy a coffee but without any of the caffeine – they have a classic Decaf Brewed coffee. This decaf is round and balanced and can be enjoyed any time of the day.
4. Iced Coffee
*Order without milk*
If you are visiting Krispy Kreme on a hot day and want an iced coffee, then make sure to order an iced coffee. Just make sure to order it WITHOUT MILK to ensure it is vegan (it comes with dairy milk if you don’t specify).
5. Vanilla Iced Coffee
*Order without milk*
If you want a flavored iced coffee, then you can order a vanilla iced coffee without milk (again make sure to order without milk as it is served with dairy milk as standard). As explained above the vanilla syrup at Krispy Kreme is dairy free but does contain sugar and natural flavors (which may be a deal breaker for strict vegans – if so, stick to an iced coffee without milk).
6. Chocolate Iced Coffee
*Order iced coffee without milk*
*Ask for the chocolate sauce to be added*
The next drink on this list is a bit of a creative one. Whilst scrolling the Krispy Kreme menu online I noticed that whilst the pumpkin and caramel sauces contain dairy and are not vegan, the chocolate sauce is dairy-free (the chocolate sauce does still contain sugar and natural flavors – see my above disclaimers).
If you get a particularly helpful server, see if they will make you an iced coffee WITHOUT the milk and with some chocolate sauce added. The chocolate sauce isn’t like syrup so you won’t be able to fully stir it into the iced coffee, but it will give you some cool dairy-free iced mocha vibes!
7. Vanilla Brewed Coffee
*Add vanilla syrup*
If you want a hot flavored coffee at Krispy Kreme, a flavored latte is obviously out of the question due to the lack of dairy-free milk. However, you can still order a hot brewed coffee with a shot of vanilla syrup in.
To order this just choose between their decaf, classic, or 1937 brewed coffee, and ask for a shot of vanilla. Sweet vanilla coffee vibes.
8. Chocolate Brewed Coffee
*Ask for the chocolate sauce to be added*
The next drink uses the same principle as the iced mocha drink at entry number 6 above. Order a brewed coffee of your choice and ask your helpful server to add some chocolate sauce to it. Then stir, stir, and stir. The result? A warming mocha drink (sort of).
9. Lemonade Chiller
If you want a vegan drink at Krispy Kreme but aren’t a coffee drinker, then try one of their lemonade chillers. Again, the lemonade chillers do contain sugar and natural flavors which could be unacceptable to strict vegans.
10. Strawberry Chiller
The final entry on this list is another perfect refreshing summer drink – the strawberry chiller. Again, the Strawberry chillers do contain sugar and natural flavors which could be unacceptable to strict vegans.
The Final Sip – The Best Vegan Drinks at Krispy Kreme
The best vegan drinks at Krispy Kreme. Okay, so when it comes to Krispy Kreme, as it currently stands, it may not be the most vegan-friendly chain. None of the donuts are vegan (boo!), but you can order a selection of drinks and make them vegan friendly. Just remember, there are no vegan kinds of milk available at Krispy Kreme, so that will limit you to a flavored black coffee or one of their chiller drinks.
